Keiko's Kimochi

I waited at Milo Petersen's apartment for Keiko to call and confirm that the recording with Elvin was on. While waiting, I went to the basement and began playing piano. I came up with a song called "Keiko's Kimochi."

Keiko had said, "The music might be good or bad. What really mattered was the feeling."

Milo told me the Japanese word for "feeling" was "kimochi."

During the recording session, Elvin suggested that Phil play the chords on bass. Elvin had a great ear for how music should sound.
